FX Networks has renewed the animated hit Archer for an additional two seasons, which means the ISIS gang will be sticking around to entertain everyone for seasons six and seven, with 13 episodes each.
The show is currently in the middle of its fifth season on the FX channel and is enjoying its best ratings yet. FX Networks have obviously taken note of this and have rewarded the show as such.
“Archer is one of the best comedies on television and has played a significant role in the growth of the FX comedy brand,” Eric Schrier, one of the presidents of original programming for FX Networks and FX Productions, said today in a statement. ”We’re grateful to Adam Reed, Matt Thompson and their team at Floyd County, and also our incredible voice cast, and are looking forward to supporting their work for at least two more seasons.”
With that, we’ll have two 13 episode seasons of Sterling, Lana, Malory, Kreiger, Ray, Cheryl, Cyril and Pam to keep entertained. Maybe more ocelots, cyborg Barry, Trinette and Woodhouse will help too. Or Burt Reynolds. Because Gator was awesome. Hell, maybe even K-Logs…
Archer is on the FX Network and airs Mondays at 10pm. How about it fellow fans? Are you excited that Archer will be gracing our television screens until 2015? Tell us your thoughts and comments, such as your favorite episodes or moments below or on the Geek Facebook page!
