Assassin's Creed will start filming in 2014!
That’s about the extent of the update. However, given that there has been very little in way of Assassin’s Creed movie news, fans of the video game series are like the thirsty at water, ready and willing to lap up even the smallest of updates.
Despite the video game series ramping up publicity for the upcoming Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, there hasn’t been a lot said about the film adaptation. We know there is a screenwriter and we know one star of the film, but really, that’s about it. Thankfully that known star is Michael Fassbender and he is very busy doing the publicity rounds right now for 12 Years a Slave, and while talking to Collider, he let it be known that the film will indeed start filming sometime next year.
Also on Fassbender’s plate is the upcoming X-Men: Days of Future Past. The actor is reprising his role as a younger Magneto along with Ian McKellan, Patrick Stewart, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, and James McAvoy.
Thanks to Comic-Con we got a look at the cast of the original X-Men trilogy as well as the First Class actors.
With the confirmation from Fassbender that Assassin’s Creed will start filming in the next year, expect for more news to start coming in and stay tuned here to GEEK for all your updates!
