The latest trailer for Bethesda's upcoming Doom revival is all kinds of badass, but you don't have to take our word for it.
After Bethesda announced details about how to access the Doom beta with its previously-released shooter Wolfenstein: The New Order, the company followed up with the its love letter to retro shooters. Doom’s first teaser trailer is short, only a minute or so long, but it showcases one of the game’s most memorable enemies: the Cyberdemon.
The hulking enemy looks pumped and primed to get its killing spree on, and it’s got you in its crosshairs. While this teaser doesn’t reveal too much about the upcoming game, it doesn’t have to – this is reason enough to get excited. Just look at that detail. Check out the snarl on that thing’s face. And more importantly, classic Doom fans will note the sound of the door opening ripped straight from the original game and get all kinds of hyped.
More of Doom will be showcased at the upcoming Quakecon, but if you’re jonesing for more, keep in mind that if you had the presence of mind to preorder Wolfenstein: The New Order, you’ll have access to the upcoming Doom beta, which doesn’t have a start date set just yet, but when it drops you can be sure we’ll let you know about it.
