Cartoon Network Issues Official Statement on DC Nation Changes

This week, after a brief & painful period of uncertainty, Cartoon Network finally enlightened the world to their plans for Young Justice & Green Lantern: The Animated Series - cancellation.

Both shows were yanked from the Cartoon Network lineup last October without warning; they didn’t even warn most of the production staff, apparently. Via Twitter, a PR person informed fans that this was merely temporary and that both shows (and Teen Titans shorts) would be back in January. Come back they did; however, their return was only fleeting. This will be the last season for both.

“Thank you to all our fans for expressing just how much they love DC Nation on Cartoon Network,” reads the official/generic Cartoon Network statement, which just released today. “There’s still more new Young Justice and Green Lantern: The Animated Series to enjoy in the coming weeks. And DC Nation isn’t going anywhere; there will be plenty of new adventures coming your way later this year.”

As they mention, DC Nation isn’t going anywhere. Its future lineup will consist of Beware the Batman (still not too sure about this one) and Teen Titans: GO! (EXTREMELY pumped about this one). Look for them on the air in Spring-Summer 2013.
