Zane and Brea Grant (sidebar: you might remember Brea as Daphne Millbrook on NBC’s Heroes), the brother/sister creative team responsible for We Will Bury You, have a new 4-issue miniseries lined up with IDW called Let’s Play God.
The book’s main protagonist, Mel, is a member of an all-girl punk band in Portland, Oregon. After she witnesses a local serial killer offing someone, her and her bandmates become entries on their “To Kill” list. Our heroine is forced to embark on an investigation to find the identity of the killer and stop him before she becomes a victim herself. In a press release sent out after the book was announced at Comic-Con, Brea Grant referred to the book as being “…like Girl with the Dragon Tattoo in the Pacific Northwest…but cooler.”
The book’s “kinetic” artwork will be provided by Fly’s EricJ; variant covers will be provided by Fábio Moon (Casanova, Day Tripper), Tim Seeley (Hack/Slash, Bloodstrike), and Dennis Calero (X-Factor, Cowboys & Aliens). Look for Let’s Play Go #1 to release in October.
