Comic-Con ’12: Marvel Characters Team Up with Phineas and Ferb

Today it was officially confirmed that Marvel heroes and villains will be dropping by Danville, the hometown of Disney's Phineas and Ferb.

In Phineas and Ferb: Mission Marvel, a made-for-TV animated feature, Dr. Doofenshmirtz accidentally removes the powers of Thor, Hulk, Iron Man and Spider-Man. Phineas and Ferb join forces with the powerless heroes to take down Red Skull, Venom and Whiplash. A press release issued by Disney today mentions that the show’s creators, Dan Povenmire and Jeff “Swampy” Marsh, are working closely with Marvel to design versions of each character that will fit into the world of Danville.

This will be the first time Disney and Marvel characters have worked together since the two companies became one in 2009. Fans will reportedly get a preview of Mission Marvel at the Phineas and Ferb Comic-Con panel, which will likely be over by the time I’ve edited this post.

This sounds like a fun way to bring Marvel and Disney together without ruffling any feathers. Look for it to air at some point in 2013.
