At this morning’s "Battlestar Galactica: So Say We All Panel," good news was delivered regarding SyFy’s BSG prequel, Blood & Chrome.

Initially a web series, Blood & Chrome followed the character of William Adama during the intense conflict that was the First Cylon War. SyFy, assuming that the action packed B&C would win bigger numbers than Caprica, the previous Battlestar prequel, was able to, decided to greenlight it as a 2-hour TV movie. Last March, though, the network changed their mind again; the project’s current status is “possible candidate for a digital series,” according to Wikipedia. Curse you, aprehensive network executives!

Today’s panel featured actors and writers from various BSG productions, including Blood & Chrome, discussing the Battelstar universe as a whole. Two of the guests, actor Richard Hatch and writer/executive producer Jane Espenson, were quoted in a report by Bleeding Cool as saying that Blood & Chrome was “still on the table” as a series for SyFy. While that isn’t exactly an official “yes, it’s happening,” it is the most we’ve heard on the project in a while. Let’s hope more good news follows.

To remind you of just how good Blood & Chrome looks, here is the trailer that leaked last March.
