DC Collectibles have certainly taken the reigns in 2014 when it comes to releasing fantastic looking DC related products.
With releases like the Jim Lee inspired busts being just one of the many items they have on their merchandising plate right now, DC Collectibles has filled their social networking sites with a ton of exciting photos for upcoming pieces.
Some of the most impressive sculpts come from The New Batman Adventures line which so far is comprised of Man-Bat, The Joker, Mr Freeze, Poison Ivy, Robin and Two-Face. These are not the first figures to come out based on Batman’s animated adventures, the most famous perhaps being the Hasbro line from 1992-1993. Those figures were quite detailed in themselves, but these new DC Collectibles figures have increased the detail and points of articulation. Man-Bat especially looks a lot more menacing and larger than his previous counterpart.
The remaining figures focus on the New 52 characters with a wide selection of characters been covered. The first focuses on Batman, his extended family and his rogues gallery. We have a great collection of figures inspired by the artwork of Greg Capullo. This collection includes Talon, a cane-sporting Riddler, The Dark Knight himself, and finally Nightwing. These figures do look like they have just stepped out of a comic book and the new Riddler design especially grabs the eye (photos taken from TNI website)
Finally in the figures department we move onto the other heroes of the DC universe. This varied selection includes Hawkman, Superboy, Wonder Girl, Star Girl, Cyborg and Kid Flash with the same levels of detail shown throughout. You can pre-order a lot of these figures now via Big Bad Toy Store, with most of them in the $21.99 range.
Last, but certainly not least is a collection of busts, including one incredible looking iZombie piece, an Arkham Asylum Poison Ivy bust and a very cheeky looking Zatanna collectible from The Bombshells collection. These are varied in price, ranging from $84.99 to $99.99.
If this is the type of quality we can expect to come out of DC Collectibles in just one month, it means that the rest of the year should be an exciting one indeed for fans of DC memorabilia.
