Holy Zombie, Batman! DC Collectibles to Release Zombie Batman Statue

We've seen an old Batman in The Dark Knight Returns and Batman Beyond, kid Batman in the upcoming television series Gotham, and a gritty Batman in Christopher Nolan's film series. But this version of Batman really takes the cake.

The zombie craze is all over today’s media and the phenomenon has reached Gotham with the Zombie Batman statue, based on the Neal Adams’ artwork in his story for Batman Black and White #1,  ”Batman Zombie.” Imagining Batman as a rotting, disgusting zombie is a mind-bender, to be sure, but the statue of Zombie Batman is pretty spectacular. The statue’s details are disturbing and creepy and the overall effect is fantastic, especially since the statue is painted in a black and gray color scheme. If you want a unique statue to add to your collection, this is the one you need to get.

Take a look at the statue right here. See how much it startles you. Depending on your tolerance of zombies, it just might.

Quite an amazing statue, isn’t it? The statue will be available this October, which is quite appropriate, considering Halloween and all that scariness.

It’s also worth noting that this statue is part of DC Collectibles‘ 2014 Line-up, which debuted at this year’s New York Toy Fair. The collection includes figures based on Batman: The Animated Series, The New Batman Adventures, The New 52 and more DC properties. There are also some more unique statues such as Batman Li’l Gotham statues, Batman and Superman 4″ wood figures and a porcelain doll of The Sandman character Death. If you haven’t seen all of the statues, DC Comics has images of all the collectibles.

What do you think about a zombified Batman? Would you like to see some other zombie versions of your favorite DC characters? And by the way, which of the new DC Collectibles are you thinking about getting? Write your opinions in the comments section below!
