GEEK lucked out on this one!
So we know Capcom sent out a bunch of sweet press kits for the release of DuckTales Remastered a while back. We thought we were fresh outta luck when it came to getting our grubby lil’ collector hands on one for ourselves. Disney and Capcom’s most generous ducks smiled upon us and did us a huge favor by sending us that awesome lunchbox!
As you can probably tell by all the photos, there’s some sweet items hiding in this legendary lunchbox. The fake cash (we hope…) covers up the sweetest gift of all – a fully functional golden NES DuckTales cartridge! We ended up getting the 105th packaging of this set, of which there are 150 in total. Some promotional bits of material came inside the package, too. We’re happy to report that these advertisements bring us back to an age where cassettes and Bionic Commando were both thriving.
One info slip tells us to add these Capcom favorites to our collection – Mega Man, Mega Man 3, Bionic Commando, Ghosts ‘N Goblins and…Street Fighter 2010: The Final Fight? Well, 4 out of 5 ain’t bad. The other pamphlets we read alluded to some hilariously named artists for a music compilation called “Quackety Quack!” Snoop Ducky Duck and BEAGLEstreet sound like some awesome musical acts we gotta hear. And lastly, we got a coupon that gives us 50-cents off some Green Cheese of Longevity! Sounds delicious.
Anyways, take a peek at what we managed to get. Also, you can take a look at the video below for an official Capcom unboxing of the press kit. You may just find yourself with one if you follow the directions given as well…
