Legendary Hüsker Dü and Sugar front man Bob Mould has launched a Kickstarter campaign to put See A Little Light: A Celebration of the Music and Legacy of Bob Mould to DVD. The concert, which was held in November of 2011 at L.A.’s Disney Concert Hall, featured Mould, Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters, Britt Daniel of Spoon, Ryan Adams, No Age, Craig Finn and Tad Kubler of The Hold Steady and Margaret Cho with Grant Lee Phillips.
Filmaker Justin Miller documented the extravaganza in high quality HD and audio. So, unless you were lucky enough to be at this concert, you won’t see his work unless the campaign hits $95,000.
As with all Kickstarter campaigns, the rewards for donating vary for the casual fan ($20 for the DVD) and the psycho ($1,500 will get you one of Mould’s guitars. And nine people have already done it!). In reality, the rewards are pretty reasonable overall. If you want to meet Mould, it’s only $250. Not too shabby.
