We’re excited to bring you a brand new song from Australian upstarts New War today. Probably the most aggressive track on the album, “Slim Dandy” exists at the junction of the Jesus Lizard and Arctic Monkeys. If you’re scratching your head at that comparison, then just think early Wire, with a bigger snarl. New War’s self-titled debut lands in the states on Sept. 18th on Fast Weapons. The band formed in 2010 after the breakup of the much beloved Portland band Shoplifting. Two members of that band, Chris Pugmire and Melissa Lock, moved back to their homeland of Australia and brought New War to life alongside Jesse Shepherd and Steve Masterson.
