Fans of GEEK attending next week’s San Diego Comic-Con can meet the editors, staff and publishers of Geek Magazine all weekend long at Booth #4014, the official home at Comic-Con for all things geek.
Everyone who subscribes to the print or digital editions of Geek at the show will receive a free issue of GEEK as well as an SDCC exclusive “Red Star: Rapidfire” collectible poster (subject to availability).
And, if that’s not enough, GEEK will be sponsoring several panels throughout the weekend featuring such geek luminaries as Being Human’s Sam Witwer, The Making of Star Wars Jonathan Rinzler, Thor writer Ashley E. Miller, Haven showrunner Gabrielle Stanton, comic legend Chris Gossett, Access Hollywood’s Scott Mantz, Sony Television Senior VP of Development & Production, Chris Parnell, and a live version of our current Star Wars cover story!
And to cap things off, Sunday afternoon, GEEK will once again be presenting the beloved Starship Smackdown, featured on NPR, The Hollywood Reporter and Deadline Hollywood, which boasted a surprise appearance by Neil DeGrasse Tyson last year, and has been one of the most popular and unforgettable panels at the con. Legendary comic book creator Christian Gossett will be live on stage in conversation with GEEK magazine editor-in-chief David E. Williams as he discusses his pioneering and award-winning comic book series The Red Star (soon to be a major motion picture from Chronicle director Josh Trank for Warner Bros). They will be joined by Ana Alexander, Catherine Annette and Ashley Noel, who appear in an all-new Red Star comic book adventure Rapidfire, appearing exclusively in the pages of GEEK magazine. Gossett will also talk about his design work on such films as Peter Jackson’s King Kong and Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland as well as inventing the famous two-sided light saber for Tales of the Jedi and an Exclusive Red Star Comic-Con poster will be distributed to the first 100 attendees.
