Star Wars: Episode VII already boasts the talents of the original Star Wars cast, such as Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Harrison Ford (the coolest guy in all the galaxy), Billy Dee Williams (the other coolest guy in all the galaxy) and Anthony Daniels (otherwise known as C-3PO).
But so far, we haven’t gotten word as to what new whippersnapper will be joining the veteran group. Until this week that is. And this whippersnapper might come from the world of Transformers: Age of Extinction.
The latest from the rumor mill is that Jack Reynor may become the first new cast member announced for the upcoming Star Wars film. Reynor, who you’ll see starring in Transformers: Age of Extinction this summer, looks like he’d make a good Jedi. But will he actually be a Jedi? Harry Knowles, from Ain’t It Cool News, claims he’s heard that Reynor’s been approached for an undisclosed role. So as to who Reynor could be – if he’s even going to be a part of the film – is anyone’s guess.
Another rumor is that the film will focus on the children of Luke Skywalker and Han Solo. If that’s true, then its easy to see Reynor – who has dirty blonde hair and looks that could go either squeaky-clean or bad boy – as either a clean-cut son of Luke’s or a rugged guy just like his dad, Han.
In any case, we’ll have plenty of time to see if Reynor is indeed cast in the film. Star Wars: Episode VII is expected to be in theaters December 18, 2015, just in time for Christmas (and, of course new Star Wars toys and collectibles that will surely be released just in time for the film).
What do you think about the possibility of seeing Reynor in the film? Would you rather see him donning some Jedi robes or firing at enemies with a blaster? Talk to us in the comments section below!
