Quite some time ago, Sega announced that they would be bringing Jet Set Radio, their Dreamcast-era classic, to modern consoles. I’m happy to report that the company has finally dropped release date and pricing information.
From September 11-17, Playstation 3 owners who subscribe to Playstation Plus will be the only ones able to access the game. It will roll out to the Non Plus’d the day afterward. Xbox 360 and PC (via Steam) will get it on September 18; the Vita version will be available on October 16. All versions are priced at $9.99 USD.
The original Jet Set Radio still looks fantastic and plays rather well. That said, I’m quite eager to see how it looks with a fresh coat of paint. My Dreamcast is always close by, so I can return to it if the new version ends up being subpar.
