John Williams Confirmed to Score Star Wars Episode VII

On the other side of the pond, Star Wars fans from all over the galaxy are gathering in Messe Essen, Germany for Star Wars Celebration Europe.

Along with the first ever screening of Attack of the Clones in 3D, a first look at the Star Wars Rebels animated series, and Kathleen Kennedy’s first Celebration appearance as the new head of Lucasfilm, fans are expecting a number of big announcements to come out of this event.

The first such announcement found fans exhaling a collective sigh of relief amidst all of the cheers when Lucasfilm confirmed that iconic Star Wars composer John Williams would be scoring Star Wars Episode VII. In the video clip below, officially released by, Williams shares his excitement at returning once again to the film series with which he is most often associated. And while he has yet to see the script, he does have a few things to say about Kathleen Kennedy and JJ Abrams taking on their respective roles in bringing Star Wars to a new generation of fans.
