Kia and DC Entertainment are partnering up to battle hunger by creating a super team of 8 Justice League themed cars based on each of their major heroes. By the end of the 10 month long campaign, each of the cars will be revealed at various auto shows and comic conventions, including SEMA in Las Vegas, the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit, WonderCon, and San Diego Comic-Con. One of the cars revealed (the secret 8th car) at these shows will be auctioned off for charity to support WeCanBeHeroes.org, which works to end hunger in the Horn of Africa.
The first reveal will take place prior to New York Comic-Con on October 10th and will feature Batman, with art by comic creator Jim Lee. Various car customizers from RIDES magazine, West Coast Customs, Import Tuner magazine, and many more, will be taking part in tricking out almost the entire line up of Kia cars, including the Optima, Soul, Sorento, Sportage, Rio, and Forte models. The heroes represented will include Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, The Flash, Aquaman, and Cyborg. Each will be paired with a specific Kia vehicle that compliments their abilities and attributes to create one-of-a-kind custom cars.
Geek will be there for the big reveal next week. Check back here for the first images directly from the event in New York City on Wednesday, October 10th.
