They grow up so fast. It seems like only yesterday Chloe Moretz was a foul-mouthed tween with a penchant for killing mobsters in cold blood. Nothing much has changed other than her age, though.
In the sequel to the comic book inspired average joe superhero movie, Moretz’s Hit-Girl returns to team up with Kick-Ass (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) to fend off the revenge attack of their former ally-turned-enemy, Red Mist (Christopher Mintz-Plasse), who now goes by the villainous code name, The Mother Fucker. Along the way, Kick-Ass has inspired others to put on costumes and fight crime, including a grizzled vet that goes by the name of Colonel Stars and Stripes, played, in yet another transformative role, by Jim Carrey (see also douchey magician Steve Gray in The Incredible Burt Wonderstone, out this week).
