The most recent of those pertains to the departure of Emmy winning actress Judy Davis, who has exited due to an illness in her family, and has now been replaced by a more Geek-recognized face in Michelle Fairley. In addition to giving birth to Robb, Sansa, Arya, Bran, and Rickon on Game of Thrones, Michelle is also known to British TV fans as the mother of Nathan Young on the much underrated (at least state-side) show MisFits.

Fairley will play Margot, “a British national and the widow of a notorious terrorist.” That seems to put her at odds with Jack and Chloe, whom, thanks to the 24 Super Bowl commercial, we know are in the UK surrounded by trouble.

In addition to this most recent addition, there have been plenty of other interesting casting decisions. For example, the beautiful Yvonne Strahovski, best known for starring in Chuck and being part of (the bad seasons of) Dexter. She also played a role in the little talked about, but solid action flick The Killer Elite.

It’s not just pretty women being added though, you’ve also got British funny man Stephen Fry, who our readership should recognize right away. In recent years he’s appeared in such Geek-bait projects as Doctor Who: Death Comes to Time and The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug. He narrated multiple Harry Potter video games, played Mycroft Holmes in Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, and perhaps most memorably – Fry played a pivitol role in the film adaptation of Alan Moore’s V for Vendetta as Deitrich.

These castings, along with that of Tate Donovan (Argo) and Benjamin Bratt (Law & Order), not to mention the returning cast has only got us more excited that Jack will once again be running out of time and forcing us to just trust him.

24: Live Another Day arrives on May 5 with a 2 hour premiere.
