A few months ago, Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan mentioned in an interview with Vulture that he’d love to see the Mythbusters put some of the “crazy stuff” they do on his show to the test. Apparently, they were listening; the forthcoming tenth season of the show will include a Breaking Bad-themed episode featuring cameos from Gilligan and the show's co-star, Aaron Paul.
“Obviously there’s a lot of fertile material to play with,” Mythbuster Adam Savage tells Entertainment Weekly, “so things that happen on the show have been ending up on our list of stories to tackle for a couple years now.”
Rather than attempting to manufacture an illegal substance, the gang will focus on some of the other scientific aspects of the show. Remember the infamous Season 1 scene involving a body, hydrofluoric acid and a bathtub? That will be the myth Savage and co-host Jamie Hyneman will handle. The other Mythbusters will attempt an undisclosed experiment from the show. They’d planned on putting a third myth from the show to the test, but, according to the EW article, the one that chose was so “meaty” they decided to save it for a possible second Breaking Bad special.
The Breaking Bad edition of Mythbusters is being shot next week and will air this spring. Should they do another, what parts of the show would you like to see them attempt to pull off?
