Who's your favorite iteration of Ghost Rider?
If you’re a glutton for punishment, you probably said Nicolas Cage. Funny. There’s a new Ghost Rider in town, however, who might be changing your mind.
His name’s Robbie Reyes, and he doesn’t have time for a motorcycle — they’re just not cool enough. He’s a hot-blooded senior who loves fast cars and electronic music, and a new Ghost Rider calls for a new ride. Writer Felipe Smith and artist Tradd Moore are bringing a brand-new vision of the character to comic book shops everywhere when they unveil the first issue of Ghost Rider without his iconic bike. Instead, he’ll be zooming along in a classic Dodge Charger, complete with flaming wheels. Call him Katniss Everdeen, ’cause this boy’s on fire.
This news comes to us via recent interview with Felipe Smith from Comic Book Resources:
“Our All-New Ghost Rider, as the title suggests, is an absolutely new character: Robbie Reyes. Robbie’s an East Los Angeles high school senior with a short fuse and a passion for electronic music and absolutely anything powered by an engine. In comparison to previous Ghost Riders, he’s young and inexperienced in life; but his harsh inner city upbringing, overall distrust for most people, and serious contempt for his violent surroundings make him the perfect host for a Spirit of Vengeance.”
