Remember that little movie from last year called The Avengers? Well, the first official pseudo-sequel or sub-chapter or whatever is almost here. May 3rd, we get to see Robert Downey Jr in action as Tony Stark for the 4th time (not counting his cameo in The Incredible Hulk) in Iron Man 3. Today we get a glimpse at a collection of new character posters from the upcoming Marvel Studios film. The first features a decimated Tony Stark in front of what appears to be a fleet of similarly armored men as his Malibu home tumbles into the ocean. There's also a wide "banner" version of the same image that they use for their Facebook page and shows the premiere date of April 24th (UK only, kids. So us Yanks can ignore that date.). Then we have a Pepper Potts image of her holding the Iron Man helmet with a huge gash down the front, Rhodey dressed in his Iron Patriot armor, and Guy Pearce as a character named Aldrich Killian, according to IMDB (I don't recognize the name from the comics and I avoid spoilers when I can, so this character is unfamiliar to me). And to complete the set, there's a previously released Mandarin poster and the one with Tony falling, sans helmet from high above the Earth.
So what do you think of these new posters? Does it whet your appetite for the next shellhead installment or are they just “meh”?
