After another hilarious and triumphant portrayal of Scotty in Star Trek Into Darkness, we can't get enough Simon Pegg.
So it’s great that we will soon see him back in the loving arms of his old pal Nick Frost in The World’s End, directed by his other cinematic partner in crime, Edgar Wright. It’s all about 5 pals being convinced by Pegg’s character to return to their home town to finish a job they couldn’t years ago: to complete 12 stop pub crawl until they’re absolutely, completely drunk. Of course, going back home isn’t always easy. You’ve changed. And in this case, so has the town.
In a mix of comedic sci-fi action, the boys take on a town that’s apparently been assimilated by robot versions of the townsfolk. Also, there are more neighborhood fences to deal with (see Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, the first 2 parts in their Cornetto Trilogy).
The film is coming to the UK July 19th and to the US August 23rd.
