The mean streets of Frank Miller's Sin City graphic novels are coming back to life on the big screen after a nearly ten year gap in the new film Sin City: A Dame to Kill For.
Get ready for what we hope will be another hard boiled thrill ride, as Frank Miller’s black and white city gets a blood red splash that should keep us on the edge of your seat. We’ve got the new trailer for Sin City: A Dame to Kill For.
The new movie is mostly based on the second book in the incredibly popular graphic novel series from Dark Horse, with one of the smaller plots based on the short story Just Another Saturday Night, and the rest from two original stories written by Miller exclusively for the film.
With Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller reuniting, fans should be able to expect another solid dose of Miller’s noir storytelling and Rodriguez’s crisp direction, a combination that proved extremely successful last time around in the 2005 hit Sin City.
Even so this film has been in the making for several years and has seen some ups and down in the production, most notably the change in the release schedule as the film was originally set to be released on October 4, 2013, but was pushed back until August 22, 2014. In some cases that would spell serious trouble, but quite frankly this new trailer goes a long way to disabuse that notion.
Sin City: A Dame To Kill For hits theaters August 22.
