Game of Thrones

Wednesday morning, the nominations for the 24th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards were announced. Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri  and Lady Bird led the way four and three nods respectively. The Martin McDonagh film scored acting noms for stars Frances McDormand, Woody Harrelson and Sam Rockwell, giving Fox Searchlight a studio-topping seven noms thanks to its other pics The Shape of Water and Battle of the Sexes.

GEEK favorites, Game Of Thrones and Stranger Things were both nominated in the ensemble TV Drama category, with Peter Dinklage landing a nomination in the Lead Actor category and both Millie Bobby Brown and David Harbour turning in SAG nominated performances for Lead Actress and Lead Actor.

In addition, Guillermo del Toro’s The Shape Of Water picked up two nominations for acting. Sally Hawkins has been on the shortlist for awards contention in the Best Actress category since the movie debuted back in September but Richard Jenkins also picked up a nom for his Supporting turn in the film. Shape Of Water failed to land an ensemble cast nomination though (the SAGs equivalent to Best Picture), but Jordan Peele’s mega-successful social thriller, Get Out nabbed both an acting and ensemble nomination with lead Daniel Kaluuya in the Lead Actor category and the whole cast.

The nomination are determined by 2500 randomly chosen members of the SAG Nominating Committee. Check out the full list of nominees below:
