Avengers Infinity War

Fans have been waiting on the edge of their seats for our first look at Marvel Studios upcoming ensemble Avengers: Infinity War, especially after the studio denied online fans the footage that was revealed at SDCC 2017. Sure, there have been leaks of footage here and there – most recently with a tweet of leaked footage that featured the Guardians of the Galaxy – but our only official look so far has been the posters and statues revealed at SDCC, which you can check out below.

Variety Fair is now the first to reveal our look at the assembled team through a series of covers featuring the many stars of the film, who gathered to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of the MCU. With four or five members of the cast on each cover, it still takes four different covers to include all of the Avengers. You can check out our first official looks below, though there are a few discrepancies from what we’ve already seen released.

It’s obvious the pictures for the covers were taken after production on Infinity War, without using the most current costumes on some of the characters, perhaps to reduce the amount of spoiler potential. We do see the new looks for Black Widow and Hawkeye that will show up in the film, though Captain America is without the beard and in his SHIELD outfit from Winter Soldier. Black Panther also seems to be without the updated suit we’ve seen teased in trailers for his upcoming solo film, while Thor, who is possibly wearing his Infinity War costume is sporting neither the hair – which we’ve heard is back to long and flowing for the film – or his new Odin-like look following the events of Ragnarok. Still, as our first look goes at this huge assemblage of heroes, it’s not bad, though we would have loved a look at the villains of the piece as well.

You can check out even more of the photoshoot inside the magazine, which brings in a few more characters for the photo shoot:

Avengers: Infinity War is directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, and stars Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Benedict Cumberbatch, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Bettany, Anthony Mackie, Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Tom Holland, Josh Brolin, Gwyneth Paltrow, and many more. This movie is going to be big.

Keep it locked to GEEK as we continue to patiently wait for our online peek at the trailer. Avengers: Infinity War hits theaters on May 4, 2018.
