We’ve been following the news on the upcoming four-series crossover of the DC on The CW shows pretty closely, as every year the CWverse tries to outdo the previous year’s crossovers. This year is no different, as the crossover plans to extend across all four series – SupergirlThe FlashLegends of Tomorrow, and Arrow – for the first time, as while Supergirl was included in the crossover, her episode only featured a couple minutes to explain her arrival on Earth-1 as the teams faced off against the alien Dominators.

The premise of this year’s crossover was revealed with a comic splash page that featured a number of CWverse characters facing off against evil versions of themselves during the “Crisis on Earth-X”, though we didn’t have too many other details besides the inclusion of new character The Ray, who is set to debut in animated form on CW Seed’s Freedom Fighters: The Ray.

Finally, a new synopsis of the upcoming crossover has revealed a few key details, including the upcoming wedding of Barry and Iris and the attack of evil versions of our favorite characters:

“Barry (guest star Grant Gustin) and Iris’s (guest star Candice Patton) wedding brings the gang together, but things go awry when villains from Earth-X attack the ceremony. All of the superheroes band together with help from their super friends like Citizen Cold (guest star Wentworth Miller), The Ray (guest star Russell Tovey), Felicity Smoak (guest star Emily Bett Rickards), Iris West and Alex Danvers (Chyler Leigh) to take on their most formidable villains yet. Earth’s mightiest heroes – Green Arrow (guest star Stephen Amell), Supergirl (Melissa Benoist), The Flash (guest star Grant Gustin) and White Canary (guest star Caity Lotz) – lead their teams into battle to save the world.”

The synopsis seems to be for the episode of Supergirl – Melissa Benoist is the only actor not listed as a guest star – which is set to lead off this year’s crossover in a much bigger way than last year. The synopsis also reveals that we’ll be seeing an alternate version of Wentworth Miller’s Leonard Snart, who will take on a heroic role as Citizen Cold, much like the character did in the Flashpoint universe of the comics. This will mark one of the last episodes we’ll see Miller appear as Cold since he recently announced he’s filming his last moments with the character.

The synopsis also doesn’t reveal too many other characters from the support teams on Arrow and The Flash besides Emily Bett Rickards’ Felicity Smoak. While we’re sure they will show up in the crossover, they don’t seem to be as major players in this opening episode. You can check out the brief teaser that was released below if you haven’t seen that yet:

Supergirl kicks off the “Crisis on Earth-X” starting on Monday, November 27 at 8 pm (eastern), with Arrow following at 9. The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow air in the same time slots on Tuesday, November 28, wrapping up this year’s crossover with basically two nights of two-hour long episodes, as opposed to last year’s four-day event.
