We’re all patiently waiting for the home release of the most successful Stephen King adaptation of the last few years – Andy Muschietti’s It: Chapter One, which will hit stores on January 9. The first cinematic adaptation of King’s iconic horror story followed the original TV miniseries that first introduced us to the live-action Pennywise the Dancing Clown, played by Tim Curry. Curry left some pretty big shoes for Bill Skarsgård to fill when Muschietti brought the story to the big screen, and a new featurette has been released that takes a closer look at Skarsgård’s version of the character.

Pennywise Lives! will be included in the upcoming Blu-ray release, but you can check it out now:

Pennywise has featured heavily in all marketing for the film, and the upcoming Walmart exclusive Blu-ray follows suit with this recently revealed cover:

The exclusive includes the same special features we’ve previously discussed that you can check out below:

  • Pennywise Lives! –  Discover how Bill Skarsgård prepared to portray the primordial creature known as Pennywise the Dancing Clown
  • The Losers’ Club – Get up close and personal with the teenage stars of “IT” as they bond together during the production,
  • Author of Fear  Stephen King reveals the roots of his best-selling novel, the nature of childhood fear and how he created his most famous monster, Pennywise
  • Deleted Scenes – Eleven deleted or extended scenes from the film

We can also look forward to a Director’s Cut of the film sometime in 2018, as confirmed by director Andy Muschietti. You can pick up It: Chapter One in stores on January 7, 2018.
