It’s been a pretty big year for Stephen King adaptations, with news of a Castle Rock TV series and the recent release of The Dark Tower. Now that film’s release was, unfortunately, a little disappointing for fans hoping for a direct adaptation of the huge series. Sure, we liked it, but as more of an action film and less of a King adaptation or even sequel to the source material. Luckily, fans get another chance at a proper adaptation with Andy Muschietti’s IT, which already looks to be a truly horrifying take on the bestselling book from King.

A lot of the hype over the film has focused on Bill Skarsgård’s portrayal of the titular IT, otherwise known as Pennywise the Dancing Clown. The character of Pennywise is a true horror icon, both in literature and film, with Tim Curry famously playing the character for the 1990 TV movie that, while remembered fondly, doesn’t quite hold up in the scare department. Following the first few trailers as well as a few incredibly creepy looks at Skarsgård’s Pennywise, it’s clear that the fear will play a big factor in the film, which is an exciting prospect for a King adaptation.

Some new images have dropped of Pennywise, both sinister (above) and haunting (below), as well as another look at the Losers Club, our child heroes who are forced to encounter the ultimate evil that has corrupted the quiet town of Derry, Maine.

IT stars Skarsgård as Pennywise, along with The Losers Club; Jaeden Lieberher, Finn Wolfhard, Sophia Lillis, Wyatt Oleff, Chosen Jacobs, Jeremy Ray Taylor and Jack Dylan Grazer as Bill Denbrough, Richie Tozier, Beverly Marsh, Stan Uris, Mike Hanlon, Ben Hanscom, and Eddie Kaspbrak, respectively. We’ll be seeing a few scenes with the Losers and Pennywise inside the Niebolt House, a locations fans of the book are obviously familiar with. Now, you’ll be able to visit the terrifying house in person!

Starting August 14th, you’ll be able to have your own IT Experience at the Niebolt House located in LA on Hollywood and Vine:

The house will be open to the public daily August 14th through September 10th from 1pm to 11pm. Admission is free. Those who are 18 and over are welcome (at their own risk) to step inside the two-story replica of “where IT lives.” Guests will be guided by “Georgie” through the 5,000-square-foot house and will venture room by room through immersive film-inspired scenes complete with authentic set props. “Losers’ Club” groups of 7 will journey through a 20-minute experience encountering pneumatic surprises, live actors, animatronic beings, and state-of-the-art lighting, audio, and video.

That’s sure to get any IT fan in the Halloween spirit, and you can show your love for the new film with new Pennywise masks! Sure, your classic Tim Curry version has been available for years, but you can now get your own Skarsgård version from the film at Spirit Halloween:

IT floats into theaters on September 8.
