In a recent collaboration with Vanity Fair, Jordan Peele was able to answer some online fan theories about his movie Get Out. The theories all came from Reddit, where fans are able to discuss recent releases and theories on massive comment threads for hours at a time. There’s no shortage of fan speculation on the internet, and Vanity Fair was able to pick some of the best ones for Jordan Peele to take a look at.

Some of the theories are actually pretty convincing, and a lot of it is just fans noticing the subtle details that Peele included in the film. Horror fans, in particular, are known to speculate wildly about their favorite genre movies. Peele did a great job with allowing for a certain amount of ambiguity in Get Out, making it easy for fans to obsess over the tiniest incongruities or unanswered questions.

It’s great to see Peele’s fans getting so worked up over this one movie, especially since he’s set to produce a reboot of The Twilight Zone for CBS, where he’ll be able to mess with people’s heads for at least ten or fifteen weeks out of the year. He also has plans to do two more “social thrillers” in the vein of Get Out. Peele has made the transition from being on air to going behind the camera really well, and I don’t think it’ll be long before he’s considered a director first and a comedian/actor second.
