Friday the 13th Game Adds Fan Favorite; Who Should Show Up Next?

It’s hard to find a major stand out from the massively large group of camp counselors and irresponsible teens that have been slaughtered by Jason Voorhees in the Friday the 13th series, and although prankster Shelly Finkelstein wasn’t the most bombastic of the lot, he sure as hell left his mark on the franchise. Sure, the guy was complete garbage when it came to winning the heart of a woman. For instance, don’t ever attempt to court a chick by getting in a wetsuit with a harpoon at the dead of night and grabbing her by the leg as she is sitting on a dock. Not only will you scare the shit out of her, she’ll hate you forever and you’ll have ruined your chances plenty quick.

Shelly Finkelstein did just this and was then promptly murdered by Jason Voorhees in the 3D outing of Friday the 13th, aptly Part III. In the midst of that prank was the crowning piece of Shelly’s getup, the iconic hockey mask that Jason would take and use to murder camp counselors for the next 8 sequels.

If you’re playing the recently released Friday the 13th game, you’ll now have the chance to play as bumbling joke maker Shelly Finkelstein once the next game patch is released, the role is reprised by none other than the original actor Larry Zerner.  And on top of that, it’s free!

With Shelly popping up as a playable character in the F13 game, who are some others you’d like to see added to the game? We have a few options right here!

Julius Gaw

Julius could be either the ballsiest or most stupid of all characters in the Friday the 13th franchise. Fleeing from Jason in the urban sprawl of Manhattan during the appropriately titled Friday the 13th: Jason Takes Manhattan, Julius decides to take a last stand on a rooftop and literally punched Jason to a standstill… until Jason one punches his head right off his foolish body.

Joseph Brascia-Burns

Joey from Friday the 13th: The New Beginning, this poor guy can’t do much right, except die. Technically he couldn’t even do that right as he was one of many in that film to die by the hand of a killer that wasn’t even Jason. Then again no one in that movie was killed by Jason. Moral of the story: Do not interrupt a psychopath in the middle of chopping wood.

Jimmy Mortimer

Jimmy Mortimer is many things, chief amongst them being a terrible dancer and accused dead lay in Friday the 13th Part 4: The Final Chapter. Played by none other than Back to the Future‘s Crispin Glover, Jimmy Mortimer would be a fantastic addition to the game. Especially if he could do his little dance before getting axed by Jason.
