Stranger Things

We’re just a few short weeks away from season two of Netflix’s Stranger Things, and a new clip has surfaced showing the boys dressed up as the Ghostbusters on Halloween. The whole clip runs about 30 seconds as we see them approaching a neighborhood home, only to be mistaken for exterminators and given a bunch of lousy Three Musketeers bars which, according to everybody but Dustin, are “just nougat.” From there, the guys get spooked by someone in a Michael Myers mask, who reveals herself to be the redheaded Max, the team’s new addition in season two.

We also see Will filming the Halloween activities with a bulky camcorder, which means that the VHS fans might be getting an unexpected and welcome format change for some shots. I’m a sucker for anything shot on VHS, so I hope we get to see some of the footage that Will films throughout the season. Perhaps he’ll use it to document proof of the Upside Down? Maybe the guys will catch something on camera that they’re not supposed to see? Or maybe I’m looking way too deeply into something completely unimportant and am speculating wildly for my own amusement! It could be anything!

A brief synopsis of season two reads:

“It’s 1984 and the citizens of Hawkins, Indiana are still reeling from the horrors of the Demogorgon and the secrets of Hawkins Lab. Will Byers has been rescued from the Upside Down but a bigger, sinister entity still threatens those who survived.”

The cast includes Paul Reiser, Brett Gelman, Linnea Berthelsen, Dacre Montgomery, Will Chase, Rob Morgan, and Sadie Sink. They join the returning Finn Wolfhard, Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Natalia Dyer, and Charlie Heaton.

Check out the clip below, which was revealed to be the prize you get for winning the 8-bit Stranger Things phone game that was released last week by Netflix.
