NBC’s The Office was one of the network’s most successful shows, running for nine seasons and winning five Emmy’s in the process. To this day, it’s one of the most watched shows on Netflix, and still has a devoted fan base a full four years after the series finale aired in 2013. So, of course, somebody recut the Logan trailer with clips from The Office because, well, why not? The video comes from TM Films YouTube channel.
If you’re wondering, yes there are a bunch of Threat Level Midnight clips, as well as shots from classic episodes like “The Injury,” “Did I Stutter?,” and, of course, “Stress Relief,” where the entire office descends into madness during Dwight’s fire safety training. The trailer is for a fictional movie is called Scott, and doubles as a well-made look back at the show’s countless moments of pure insanity. There’s been some talk of an Office reunion season in recent months. One idea floating around is that there would be three episodes: one focusing on Jim and Pam’s life in Austin, one on Dwight and Angela’s life in Scranton, and one on Michael and Holly’s life in Denver.
It’d be interesting to see them do three, two-hour episodes or something like that, but nothing’s been confirmed yet. And, honestly, I would like to see a Ryan & Kelly episode thrown into the mix. I mean, who knows what they’re up to these days? The main reason it wouldn’t happen is the fact that everyone’s so dang famous and busy now. Steve Carell is an award-winning movie star, John Krasinski is directing movies and starring in TV shows, and Craig Robinson is on Ghosted. Plus, you always run the risk of tarnishing a show’s legacy when you go back to do it again.
For now, we’ll just have to keep watching fan trailers like this one and hope we get the real thing someday.
