KIA Motors and DC Entertainment have teamed up to reveal the first in a series of Kia cars redesigned by a number of icons in the aftermarket customs industry, including West Coast Customs, Rides magazine, Import Tuner magazine, among others.

With artwork and some creative tweaks by legendary artist and DC co-publisher Jim Lee, 8 different models of Kia cars will styled to represent 7 different members of the Justice League: Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, the Flash, Aquaman, and Cyborg. The final car will feature all 7 members in one design and will be auctioned off to fans to support We Can Be Heroes, a charity that brings aid to those fighting hunger in the horn of Africa. Each of the cars will be debuted at various automotive and comic events over the next 10 months, including SEMA in Las Vegas, WonderCon in Anaheim, the New York Auto Show, and San Diego Comic-Con, where the final one will be debuted and be on display with all the others.

Jim Lee was on hand to unveil the first in the series, based on Batman from “the New 52″, at the Time Warner Center at Columbus Circle tonight, just prior to New York Comic-Con opening tomorrow.

With 7 more cars to be revealed, which hero’s car do you think will be your favorite? And will you pony up the dough to get the exclusive one-of-a-kind Justice League car when it goes up for auction?
