The “Star Wars Cookbook” will satisfy your Intergalactic need for homemade sweets.
When you pick up a novelty cookbook, you usually plan for recipes that might look great but end up tasting like Bantha poop. Not so in “The Star Wars Cookbook: Wookie Pies, Clone Scones, and Other Galactic Goodies.” Here, authors Robin Davis and Lara Starr have concocted 30 recipes that are both tasty and visually appealing. cooks of all ages and experience levels will have a fun time with recipes that are easy to follow and require no specialty tools, save for the included themed cookie cutters (Vader, Yoda and R2-D2). using the
book’s Skywalker Sugar Cookie recipe (page 60), we tried these out in the Geek test kitchen to great effect — with exec editor Jef Bond’s son Logan happily devouring a frosted Dark Lord, Jedi master and astromech droid. If you really want to show off, additional character detailing is suggested in a useful decorating guide. So pick up a copy, whip up some Bossk Brownies and admiral Ack-Bars and spend a night gorging like Jabba with friends and family.
