It's been quite a week for geek... at least in my neighborhood. In this podcast, we discuss a wide variety of things, from the LA Launch for the new Nike+ Fuelband and the first ever LeetUp, created and hosted by G4's Kevin Pereira.
Then we dare to discuss the brain meltingly demented Tim and Eric’s Billion Dollar Movie, which opened in limited release last week, and we marvel at how San Diego Comic-Con sold out of all their tickets in just over an hour. Then we cap off the ‘cast with a talk on comics. A few months ago, DC relaunched their universe by cancelling all of their books and replacing them with books featuring modernized versions of the same characters. They’re not the first ones to re-write their characters’ histories (Marvel did Heroes Reborn and Age of Apocalypse in the 90s), but why did they do it? And will it last? We throw our opinions around and try to come up with an answer to all of that and more in this edition of the Pop Culture Geek Podcast!
By the way, stick around to the very end to hear possibly the strangest Justice League theme song ever recorded… sure, it’s ancient, but wow. I don’t know where Scott finds this stuff…
