A new storyline entitled “The Rise & Fall Of” kicks off in Bloodshot #5. Judging from the preview, its significance will stretch beyond Bloodshot into the rest of the Valiant Universe.
With words from Duane Swierczynski and art from Manuel Garcia & Arturo Lozzi, “The Rise & Fall Of” follows our hero’s journey to find out who he was before becoming Bloodshot. Some of his answers, according to an ex-Project Rising Spirit scientist, are held within an extremely well-protected black site. Will he be able to get in and out without conflict? Of course not! The solicitation sent to us by our pals at Valiant hints that he’ll face another “indestructible killing machine” constructed by Project rising Spirit. It sounds a bit like a super-powered version of The Raid: Redemption, so my interest is obviously piqued.
“The Rise & Fall Of” will occur in three-parts – Bloodshot #5, #6 and #7. The last issue will involve something called “Harbinger Hunter.” Does that mean we’ll see someone from the Harbinger Foundation pop up for a cameo? Nothing has been confirmed, but it certainly would be awesome.
