As the various Avengers titles prepare to team up for the weekly Avengers: No Surrender event, fans can explore the history of the team through a new series of variants Marvel is calling the Avengers Variant Cover Program.

These new variants will feature great artists like Esad Ribic, John Cassaday, Adi Granov, and more as they tackle a specific roster of the Avengers for 21 new covers that are set to hit shelves in January. These covers feature some iconic Avengers rosters like the Busiek/Perez team from the late 80s, the West Coast Avengers, the classic “B-Team” without Marvel’s trinity, the more recent “Marvel NOW” team, and even the first roster change after Captain America joined up, though that cover does include the new Voyager character that Marvel teased previously.

This January, Earth’s greatest heroes will unite for AVENGERS NO SURRENDER, a weekly saga combining the cast and creative teams of three Avengers titles into one epic story. In celebration of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, Marvel is proud to announce its AVENGERS VARIANT COVER PROGRAM. Showcasing different eras of Avengers rosters through the years, the covers feature art by some of the industry’s top creators, including Mike del Mundo, Esad Ribic, John Cassaday, Leinil Francis Yu, Daniel Acuna and Adi Granov, and more!

Look for Marvel’s Avengers variant covers on these select titles:
