I just stumbled upon the trailer for a new independent movie out of the UK from Dare Productions called Pulp. There's a part of me that wants to call this the British Mallrats/Chasing Amy, but from what I can see, such a description really doesn't do it justice. Sure, it's got loads of foul language, comic book creators, and some rather strong feelings about Star Wars (both negative and positive to a point that brings people to blows), but I don't see this as having much in common with a Kevin Smith film otherwise (but now that I think of it, a cockney Jay and Silent Bob would be pretty hilarious to see).
Beyond this trailer and the special scene from the film tacked onto the end of the video, I really don’t know much about this movie. But I am looking forward to seeing it when it comes to this side of the pond, hopefully sometime later this year. Feels like it could use a San Diego Comic-Con screening. What do you think?
