Power Rangers

With the new Ranger movie hitting theaters in a few months and all of the Justice League movie buzz, the comic book team-up seems pretty genius. The Power Rangers are used to their share of aliens and kaiju-sized monsters, but dealing with another group of super-powered humans, one would think they may not be equipped. The book does an excellent job of leveling the playing field for both groups of heroes, but to make things interesting, there’s a clear winner in the first issue.

Alright, we’re walking into spoiler territory from here on out. You’ve been warned!

The Black Ranger teleports to the DC Universe thanks to, you know, teleporter issues at the command center. His first encounter is with none other than the Dark Knight, so seeing him, Zack assumes Batman is simply another henchman deployed by Rita Repulsa.

There’s something ceremonious about the first meeting taking place between the Black Ranger and Batman, the two casually cool members of their respective teams (sorry Tommy). The two fight for a while until the other Rangers show up as reinforcements, but they’re not the only ones as Batman gets some reinforcements as well. A certain Scarlet Speedster comes to his aide. Acknowledging that he’s fighting “enhanced beings,” Batman summons his weapon of choice to help him out – the good ol’ Batmobile, deploying missiles at the Ranger team. In true fashion, Pink Ranger decides she’s had enough, so she summons a “weapon” of her own. Hello, Pteradactyl Battle Zord! And in one of the most amazing holy sh*t crossover moments, she grabs the Batmobile with the Battle Zord and takes it away! You read that right. Batman has been carnapped by the Pink Power Ranger.
