I think I've said this before, but I love time travel movies. I also love Aubrey Plaza (April on Parks & Recreation), but that's beside the point. There's a really good chance that the new indie, Safety Not Guaranteed, has no actual time travel in it at all. But I still want to see it. Why? Well, because every time I've had a chance to see it over the last few months, I've been busy with some other previously scheduled project. And also because even a movie that TALKS about time travel (especially when it's a comedy), sounds alright by me. Also, Aubrey Plaza's in it. Sure, Mark Duplass from The League and Jake Johnson from The New Girl are also in it... and from the first trailer (check it out below), it looks like a fantastic comedic cast (I was going to say "winning" comedic cast, but Charlie Sheen ruined that word for everyone) with an engaging story. And all the raves it's gotten at Sundance and SXSW don't hurt either. In between all of the big SFX blockbusters this summer, I'm definitely making time for Safety Not Guaranteed.
