The teaser for John Moore’s A Good Day to Die Hard has finally been released! In it, we see John McClane (Bruce Willis), the “007 of Plainfield, New Jersey,” make his butt-kicking debut on international soil.
Here’s the story: McClane’s son (Jai Courtney here; one-time actor Noah Land in the original) is arrested in Moscow for an as-yet-unknown reason. Our hero rushes to his aid and gets involved in some sort of terrorist plot.
I, like many others, had reservations about the film once its plot was revealed. It sounded like the writers were attempting to transform John McClane into Jack Bauer. After a slightly disappointing fourth installment, would the fifth go even further away from what made the original three so great? Thankfully, the trailer seems to indicate a return to form for the series, albeit on a grander scale. Its rating has yet to be revealed. Here’s hoping Willis is able to fully bring the old school swagger back this time around.
The film, which is currently in post-production, is set to release on February 14, 2013.
