I was late to the party when it came to watching the original season of Spartacus, but I ended up loving it by the time it came to its gory, blood-soaked conclusion. And while I still can't imagine the series without Andy Whitfield in the title role (he passed away from lymphoma a few months ago), it's good that the story can continue with Liam McIntyre strapping on the sandals and taking up the sword against his enemies.
