Star Wars Celebration VI in Orlando, Florida, came to a close on Sunday with thousands of fans snapping up last minute bargains and the final pictures from their visit to the ultimate Star Wars fan convention (on this planet anyway).
Before I left, I got frozen in carbonite (and miniaturized), had my picture taken in 3D with R2-D2, and witnessed the world of Tatooine unfold in front of me, made entirely from hand with paper, styrofoam, sawdust, and action figures.
This being the 6th of 6 US Star Wars Celebrations I’ve been to, it did not disappoint. A big thanks to Mary Franklin and the many people from the volunteers to the stars (and even George Lucas, who made a surprise appearance) who contributed to the complete Star Wars Celebration VI experience. It’s something I look forward to every 2 years and will be back wherever the next Celebration settles down in 2014 (probably not Orlando).
