Take a Behind The Scenes Look at A&E’s Bates Motel

It's rare to see A&E air anything outside of a reality show these days. So, it's no surprise that Alfred Hitchock fans were shocked and a little perturbed to hear about the network's Bates Motel, a modern re-imagining of the director's classic, Psycho. Thankfully, someone I consider to be a talented & responsible fellow was brought in to Executive Produce - Mr. Carlton Cuse. My interest was piqued once I heard of his involvement; after I saw the behind the scenes clip A&E released today, I can say that I'll definitely be watching.

The clip, which I’ve embedded below, shows Cuse and the some of the cast discussing the project. While it’s a little odd to think of a modernized Norman Bates (Freddie Highmore) and a not-dead version of his mother (Vera Farmiga), I think the show could potentially be awesome. Heck, it can’t be any worse than Psycho II and Psycho III. Check out the clip and let us know your thoughts in the comments.

Bates Motel will premiere on A&E in March, 2013.
