Ubisoft issued a press release today to announce the Assassin’s Creed 3 Season Pass, a $29.99 package for the PC, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 that will give its purchasers a total of five pieces of downloadable content. The Wii U, while getting the game and all the content, won’t have the season pass.
The first piece of post-release DLC is called “The Tyranny of King Washington.” Rather than presenting a semi-factual take on the American Revolution, which the main game supposedly does, “King Washington” has the American Colonies becoming a monarchy ruled by an evil version of George Washington. Your mission, should you choose to purchase the content, is to “dethrone” him via your particular set of skills.
“King Washington” will be released as three episodes. The remaining two pieces of DLC will likely be multiplayer, although that is unconfirmed. All the content may be purchased individually, but buying them together saves you 25 percent. The season pass will also get you the content a week before everyone else.
Ubisoft hopes to have all of the content available within six months of the game’s release. You may now preorder the Assassin’s Creed 3 Season Pass from Best Buy and Gamestop.
