If Toy Story 3 didn't exist, I'm pretty sure How to Train Your Dragon would have been my favorite animated movie of 2010. It still kind of is anyway (don't tell Pixar). I was lucky enough to see it in its first run in 3D and was immediately taken by the beautiful animation, the engaging characters and creatures, and the clean, straightforward story that hit every movie-loving button in me from beginning to end. I enjoyed seeing the holiday shorts they put out on DVD this past Christmas, complete with the original voice cast, so you can imagine my excitement when I heard that they'd be making a regular tv series on the Cartoon Network, coming fall 2012. Don't believe me? Here's the first 2 commercials for Dragons and what I don't doubt will be part of a stellar prime time lineup. Is it too much to ask that they run this back-to-back with the Clone Wars for a perfect Friday evening of animation?
