Paramount Pictures has released the first trailer for the upcoming Mission: Impossible – Fallout, the sixth installment of the monumentally successful franchise that finds Tom Cruise’s super-agent Ethan Hunt. A shorter spot was teased during the Super Bowl, but we have the actual full-length trailer for the movie.

Mission: Impossible – Fallout finds Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) and his IMF team (Alec Baldwin, Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames) along with some familiar allies (Rebecca Ferguson, Michelle Monaghan) in a race against time after a mission gone wrong. Henry Cavill, Angela Bassett, and Vanessa Kirby also join the dynamic cast. Filmed around the world, including in London, New Zealand, India and Norway, Mission Impossible – Fallout finds Cruise’s Ethan Hunt once again dealing with shady characters from his past, but this time facing the threat of nuclear annihilation.

Before the release of the first trailer two of the biggest updates we got from the forthcoming movie was star Tom Cruise‘s horrific, ankle-breaking injury (you can watch it here) he suffered from doing one of his own stunts, and Henry Cavill’s infamous mustache that helped hinder aspects of Justice League‘s re-shoots. You get a look at both the finished stunt and Cavill’s mustache in action in this trailer.

Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation director, Christopher McQuarrie, returns for the newest addition in this series. While ‘Fallout’ promises to deliver on the action we’ve come to expect, McQuarrie states that Fallout will focus more on characters than the previous films. “I started with more of an emotional story for this character and more of a character arc within it. It’s definitely more of an emotional journey for Ethan Hunt in that movie,” McQuarrie explained in an interview with Collider.
