Josh Gad (Frozen, Book of Mormon) seems to be pretty good friends with Daisy Ridley, and just like any other good friend of someone starring in the Star Wars franchise, he wants to know if their friendship will gift him any secret information about the upcoming Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi.
Unfortunately for him, Daisy seems to be a well trained LucasFilm and Disney professional, and has kept her mouth shut even from her closest friends.
This has been an ongoing series that started with Gad inviting Ridley to his trailer, while on set for Murder on the Orient Express, saying that he needed to talk to her about something, presumably about the film that they are in together. Much to her adorable dismay, he instead asks her questions about Star Wars VII: The Last Jedi and it has been a hilarious effort throughout.
Here are the previous videos:
In a funny last ditch effort, Gad posted a video of him conceding to Ridley’s silence, but opens the door (in Gad’s home, not the trailer) to a room full of other celebrities ready with questions.
His Facebook post reads,
I have given blood, sweat, and tears to get the to truth for all of you. I have thus far been unsuccessful. This will be Daisy’s final judgement. #starwars is all of us Daisy. It’s time to treat us a friends, not enemies. Each of us are a or multiple #lastjedi in our own special way. It’s time to face your fears Daisy and come clean. And now, I only ask that when you watch this, you don’t give away the surprise. With that, enjoy my final battle for answers with Daisy Ridley.
Seated in the room are a range of celebrities, from Penelope Cruz to Chris Pratt, each with a question ready to be asked. Chris Pratt seems to be more stoked on his own franchise, but he is charming and funny as to be expected. The real kicker and punchline of this 1 minute video is the celeb the video pans to at the end, and his very needed and extra funny question.
Following Josh Gad’s request, I shall not reveal the end here, but take 1 minute out of your day to check out the video for a smile and a chuckle.
Star Wars VIII: The Last Jedi will release December 15, 2017.
