Earlier today, MTV Geek! debuted the trailer for Jay Oliva’s The Dark Knight Returns, Part 1. This, as the title suggests, is the first part of an animated adaptation of Frank Miller’s graphic novel of the same name.
The cast includes: Peter Weller (Batman/Bruce Wayne), David Selby (Commissioner Gordon), Ariel Winter (Robin), Wade Willaims (Two Face) and Michael McKean (Dr. Wolper).
The trailer, which I’ve embedded below, looks absolutely incredible. Anyone apprehensive about an animated Batman without the voice of Kevin Conroy will likely be changed after viewing it. You may purchase the film as a download or on Blu-ray & DVD on September 25. The second installment will release in 2013.
